Here is a beautiful, one-owner, 1979 vintage Maton FG150/12. This model was made between 1964 and 1986

This beautiful, rich sounding, 12-string acoustic guitar has been sitting in its original case, in the wardrobe of the original owner for about 20 years. It was regularly played before then, but always looked after very carefully.

It is in excellent condition, with no neck or body warp problems. There is a small amount of buckle 'worming' on the back of the guitar and two small scratches on the lower side of the body near the neck (see the detailed pictures in the 'more pictures' link below). It comes with the original hard shell case, which has a few stickers on it (dating to 1981) and shows some signs of its 30 years of existence. However, the case is solid and all latches and hinges work fine.

This has a solid Sitka Spruce top, with solid Red Maple back, sides and neck. Fingerboard and bridge are Rosewood.

This vintage Maton is a high quality guitar, and sounds absolutely superb with the timbers having aged gracefully and gently for 30 years. I have just fitted a new set of my favourite strings - Ernie Ball Medium (11-52 with 10-28 pairs).
