Now here is something very special - a 1994 Stewart Male 3-pickup Tele® Custom, serial number 53. This guitar has been treasured by just one previous owner, who purchased it for the princely sum of $3800 back in 1994. It was one of the most expensive teles that Stewart made, due to the stunning AAAA Birdseye Maple neck, Brazillian Rosewood fretboard and pickups (Custom Shop Kinmans in neck and middle positions and Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue in the bridge position). The body is Alder, just like a true vintage Strat® or Tele®. Stewart was a highly regarded luthier who operated from Lilydale in Melbourne's east, until he passed away in Dec 2004. He was particularly well-known for his handmade Stratocaster®s, and this 3-pickup Telecaster® displays some great Strat® magic, as well as being a top-notch Tele®. This is an extremely versatile guitar, and has been extremely well looked after by its owner of 17 years. There are barely any marks, nicks or wear on this handbuilt stunner. Check out the detailed photographs in the 'more pictures' link below. The original black nitro finish is in fantastic condition, and is set off nicely by the original white pearloid pickguard. Weight is a nice comfortable 3.5 kg (7.7 pounds), and there is negligible wear on the frets. This guitar is an absolute dream to play, and becomes a wet dream once it's plugged into a nice vintage amplifier! Stunning. The Brazilian Rosewood fretboard is an absolute pleasure to play, and also contributes to the guitar's stunning tone. Sold to Mark
