| This is a very sweet little US-made 'Parlour' guitar along the lines of the Martin O-18. It's a 12-fret small-bodied 1930s Honduras Mahogany guitar in excellent condition. It is virtually identical in size (just a slightly shallower body) to my favourite acoustic guitar, a Gilet 'O' sized guitar with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, which can be seen here. This vintage guitar has a 24 1/2 inch scale, classic 12th fret body/neck join, and weighs just 3.3 pounds. The body dimensions are; 13.25 " lower bout, 9.5" upper bout, 18" body length, with a depth ranging from 3" at the front to 3 3/4" at the tail. The body back, sides and top are all solid Honduras Mahogany, and has an Ebony fretboard, stained black Brazillian Rosewood bridge, bone bridge pins, and an Ebony nut and headstock overlay. The guitar has had new replica tuners fitted, and the original ones with black buttons are included in the sale (see the detailed photographs in the 'more pictures' link below.) The neck has no truss rod, but is nice and straight with just the right amount of relief, and neck set is good, with an action at the 12th fret approx 3/16". Frets are in excellent condition with no buzzes or loose frets.The guitar neck has a comfortable C profile , which is full but not too thick. The neck width at the nut is 1 7/8 inches (approx 47mm). This vintage acoustic guitar has small nicks and scratches as you'd expect from a guitar which is 80 years old and there are also some almost invisible repaired cracks in the top and back which are stable and do not show up in the photos. I have tried to photograph the cracks in the close-up photos in the 'more pictures' link below, but they simply won't show! The previous owner of the guitar purchased it in the USA in 2003, and the maker us unknown. It is in excellent playing condition and sounds great - lous but sweet with a balanced, warm, open 'woody' tone. It is an X-braced guitar. There is no case with this guitar, but it will be packed well and securely boxed when freighted to its new owner. went to Daniel
