Here's a stunning guitar from the golden era of Japanese 'lawsuit' guitar production, during which they slavishly copied the best of American designs, using top-quality timbers and faultless workmanship.

This 12-string is essentially a copy of Gibson's famed Hummingbird model, with a solid Spruce top, Mahogany back, sides and neck, and a stunning black finish.

Serial number of B770333 makes this a February 1977 production. The guitar has barely been played, showing almost no wear to the original frets, and having all its original fittings and finish complete and untouched. The top has a couple of chips, mainly on the lower bout's bottom left edge (see the detailed pictures in the 'more pictures' link below), but is overall in stunning condition. The back, neck and headstock are unmarked, and there are a couple of tiny (and I mean TINY!) marks on the side (lower bout, RHS).

The guitar had just been restrung with a fresh set of Ernie Ball mediums, and sounds and plays beautifully. This vintage MIJ acoustic guitar comes with a high-quality plush-lined Canadian-made hard shell case.
