If you're looking for a guitar that's big on tone, and small on bling, the Les Paul Special with its subtle, yet elegant look, Mahogany tonewood, two P-90 pickups and pretty-well nothing else, is very hard to beat! These are truly a guitarist's guitar. The Gibson Les Paul Special was introduced in 1955 as a model to be an intermediate between the Gibson Les Paul Junior and the more expensive Gibson Les Paul Standard. This is a 1999 re-issue, a lot more affordable than a 1955 original! It's very attractive in its factory black finish, with a lovely Rosewood fretboard. Tuners have been changed by a previous owner to Grovers, but alll else on this guitar is original. Frets are nice, with only moderate wear, and have never yet had their first crowning and dress. There is some play wear on the back of the neck, and some pick & swirl marks. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs. This is a great guitar in overall good condition. It weighs 8 lbs. 8.9 oz., and has a gig bag. Sold to Kyle
