| In 1988 April of 1988, Gibson made a limited run of stunning off-white (cream? pearl white?) Showcase Edition ES-335SC guitars. There were only 200 made for US distribution, and a bare 50 for distribution to the rest of the world. Here we have a so-close-to-mint-it's-not-funny example - a definite 9.8/10. The only marks on this stunning guitar are where the padded hook of a wall hanger has bled its colour into the white finish on the base of the headstock - check the detailed pictures in the link below. It had been hanging on the wall of the proud previous owner for 15 years! Pickups are the original factory-fitted EMGs, which make this a 335 with balls! Stunning in the flesh, and very, very rare. Comes with its original made-in-Canada Gibson plush-lined brown hard shell case. Sold to Simon
