| Here's a bit of a deviation for Grouse Guitars. It's a serious Metal guitar, with high output active EMG pickups. I thought if I was going to bring a guitar of this style into Grouse Guitars, it may as well be a truly grouse one! It is an Ibanez RGT 6 EXFX made in Korea in 2008. Firstly, this guitar (now out of production) is in as-new condition. The previous owner purchased it new, after hankering after this particular model for some time, and had played it for literally only 40 minutes or so before a bad accident damaged his hand, meaning he could no longer play. The guitar also comes with the optional deluxe case, which is also in perfect condition. Check the detailed photographs in the 'more pictures' link below. The rear covers still have the protective plastic on them. No chips, no wear, no buckle rash, nothing It looks stunning in its deep black finish with all black hardware. The Ibanez RGT6EXFX electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock. As heavy as it rocks, this guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording, and a fixed bridge design offers thru-body stringing for stronger tone and sustain. This guitar has surprising tone, and phenomenal output. If you want to hit the front end of your valve amp hard to get beautiful, rich valve tone, this thing does it like nothing else. The active pickups are also nice and noise-free, so you can wind right back when you want to for incredible clarity, or simply set the 12AX7 pre-amp valves singing with overtones, this guitar does it all with just the volume and tone controls. For the money, you won't get better sound or higher quality.
