This is a Stratocaster you don't see every day! The Fender Stratocaster XII is the 12 string version of the Fender Stratocaster electric guitar made by Fender. The Stratocaster XII is designed in the United States and manufactured in Japan. Unlike the Fender Electric XII, it uses a Strat-style body. It was originally introduced in 1985 and produced by Fender Japan until 1996. This original version featured some slight differences compared to the re-issue model of 2005 (see below); it had a larger bridge and saddle system similar to that of an Electric XII and an altered headstock shape with raised machine heads. It also used a 22-fret neck with a rosewood fingerboard and pearloid dots. Fender then re-issued the Stratocaster XII in 2005, featuring a modified hard-tail Strat bridge, a pao ferro fretboard with 21 frets and clay dot inlays. The model was finally discontinued in 2009. This example dates from 2007, right in the middle of the re-issue production, and is in superb, 1-owner condition. Truly mint. See the photographs in the 'more pictures' link below to see just how gorgeous this guitar is! It comes in its original Fender Japan gig bag, and will be securely boxed for shipping to you. $ not recently valued for the present market but feel free to make a serious offer.
